Bozcaada: God's Gift to People
As Herodotus once said: "God created Bozcaada so that people would live long lives." Bozcaada is a unique Aegean island where nature and history embrace, and peace and pleasure intertwine.
At Huzur Pansiyon, we have had the joy of welcoming our guests in this enchanting atmosphere for many years. Drawing from our own experience, we have put together recommendations to help you make the most of your time in and around Bozcaada.
The first ferry from Geyikli departs at 08:00 AM. The last ferry from Bozcaada leaves at 10:00 PM. From Huzur Pansiyon to the ferry dock is just a 7-minute minibus ride — you can wake up early and explore the island before the crowds arrive.
Our Favorite Beaches
☀️ Ayazma – Fine sand, crystal clear sea, facility comfort. It can be a bit crowded at noon, but it is definitely worth it.
🪸 Akvaryum – Like an underwater world for snorkelers. Don't forget to bring your sea goggles.
🌾 Habbele – If you want a quieter, more peaceful alternative, you can choose it.
⛺ Sulubahçe – Camping atmosphere, one with nature.
🍹 You can swim in the sea from Salhane – Pier and enjoy a midday cocktail.
Breakfast & Dessert
🥐 Çiçek Pastanesi – Mouth-watering pastries, and our absolute favorite: mastic cookies.
🍪 Meydani – Famous for its efibadem cookies!
☕ Çınaraltı – A true island classic for morning coffee.
🍰 Uğurlu Dükkan – Don’t miss their legendary “Bombastik” dessert.
🍽️ Eating and Drinking During the Day
🍔 Kechi – Burger is delicious, fast but careful.
🍕 In Vino – Stop by if you want a wine + pizza/seafood combo.
🍹 Sapa / Salhane / Kedi – For a cocktail break. Salhane and Kedi are especially enjoyable towards sunset.
☕ I recommend you not to leave without trying Madam’s Coffee – Island Breeze!

Geyikli: Address of Peace
Geyikli, where Huzur Pansiyon is located, is a quiet Aegean town surrounded by nature. This is not only a gateway to Bozcaada, but also a place worth seeing for its own beauty.
Alexandria Troas Ancient City
Once an important Roman port, this ancient city is a fascinating discovery route for history buffs.
🧢 Don't forget to bring a hat, water, and comfortable shoes, as you'll be spending long hours in the sun during the summer months.
+ Recommendation: You can have a refreshing drink at the nearby Dalyan Beach on your way out.
📍 Just 13 minutes (9.4 km) from Huzur Pansiyon. Don't forget to stop by Dalyan Beach on your way out — there are also ancient harbor ruins along the coast.
Troy Ancient City & Troy Museum
You can trace the origins of Homer's Trojan War legend in this ancient city and in the modern Troy Museum right next to it.
🎟️ Museum Card is valid; inside there are fantastic multimedia presentations and original artifacts unearthed from excavations.
📍 Troy Ancient City is 29 minutes (26.8 km) from the guesthouse, and the Troy Museum is 28 minutes (26.1 km) away. Since they are next to each other, you can visit both in the same day.
Assos & Athena Temple
If you want to experience the elegance of the ancient world, Assos and the Temple of Athena on the hill are perfect for you.
📸 A magnificent view of the Aegean Sea awaits you when you reach the top. Try to time your visit for sunset.
📍 47 minutes (52 km) from the guesthouse. We recommend leaving early in the day — you can enjoy dinner in Geyikli on your way back.
Gokceada
The largest island in Türkiye. A true "slow travel" destination with its organic products, natural bays and peaceful life.
⛴️ It is possible to reach by ferry, but in windy weather I recommend checking the sailing conditions in advance.
Geyikli Beach & Odunluk Beach
Geyikli's central beach, with its clean, Blue Flag certified sand, is ideal for swimming and sunbathing.
🪑 You can unwind from the day's fatigue at the tea gardens along the beach.
🎶 In the evening, the Odunluk area along the coast offers a pleasant evening with its venues featuring live music and seaside restaurants.
📍 Geyikli Beach is just 7 minutes (4.3 km) away — also accessible by bike. Odunluk Pier is also 8 minutes (5.4 km) away.
Dalyan & Heart Lake
This natural wonder of a small lake, which resembles a heart when viewed from above, is a place you may have frequently seen on social media :)
🏖️ Right next door you can swim in the sea, or enjoy coffee or meze at lovely beachside spots.
🍽️ A great alternative for a fish and sunset plan.
